1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by veloriaai ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and veloriaai.

If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services. Your use of our services signifies your acceptance of these terms and any subsequent modifications.

2. Definitions

For purposes of this agreement:

• "Service" refers to luxury car rental services provided by veloriaai
• "Vehicle" means any automobile rented from veloriaai
• "Rental Period" is the time between vehicle pickup and return as specified in your rental agreement
• "Customer" includes the primary renter and any authorized drivers
• "Agreement" encompasses these Terms & Conditions plus any specific rental contract

3. Eligibility and Requirements

3.1 Age and License Requirements

• Customers must be at least 25 years of age to rent a vehicle
• A valid driver's license held for a minimum of two years is required
• International customers must present an International Driving Permit if their license is not in English
• All licenses must be valid throughout the entire rental period

3.2 Payment Method

• A major credit card in the renter's name is required for security deposit
• Debit cards are not accepted for security deposits
• Prepaid cards or cash deposits are not accepted

4. Reservation and Payment

4.1 Booking Process

Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person. A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation number. Vehicle availability is subject to confirmation at the time of booking.

4.2 Pricing and Fees

• Rental rates are quoted in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$)
• Rates include comprehensive insurance with specified deductibles
• GPS navigation, roadside assistance, and concierge support are included
• Additional fees may apply for airport delivery, after-hours service, or optional extras

4.3 Security Deposit

A security deposit will be placed on your credit card at the time of vehicle pickup. The amount varies by vehicle category and rental duration. The deposit will be released within 7-14 business days after vehicle return, provided there are no outstanding charges.

4.4 Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before pickup: full refund
• Cancellations made 24-48 hours before pickup: 50% charge
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup: full charge
• No-shows without cancellation: full charge plus administrative fee

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

5.1 Permitted Use

Vehicles may be driven only on properly maintained roads within Taiwan. Use is restricted to personal or business transportation purposes as outlined in your rental agreement.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

Customers may not:

• Use the vehicle for racing, testing, or competitive driving
• Transport illegal substances or engage in illegal activities
• Sublease, rent, or loan the vehicle to others
• Drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Exceed posted speed limits or drive recklessly
• Smoke in the vehicle (NT$5,000 cleaning fee applies)
• Transport more passengers than the vehicle is designed to carry
• Remove the vehicle from Taiwan

5.3 Authorized Drivers

Only the primary renter and drivers listed on the rental agreement are authorized to operate the vehicle. All drivers must meet eligibility requirements and be present during vehicle pickup to review the agreement.

6. Insurance and Liability

6.1 Included Coverage

All rentals include comprehensive insurance covering collision damage, theft, and third-party liability. Coverage is subject to deductibles as specified in your rental package.

6.2 Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for all damage to the vehicle not covered by insurance, including damage resulting from prohibited use, negligence, or violation of traffic laws. This includes towing fees, impound charges, and traffic violations.

6.3 Accident Procedures

In the event of an accident, customers must:

• Contact local authorities and file a police report
• Notify veloriaai immediately using the emergency contact number
• Document the scene with photographs if possible
• Obtain contact information from other parties involved
• Complete an accident report form provided by veloriaai

7. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, a refueling charge will be applied at prevailing rates plus a service fee.

Use only the fuel type specified for the vehicle. Damage resulting from incorrect fuel usage is the customer's responsibility.

8. Vehicle Condition and Inspection

8.1 Pre-Rental Inspection

Customers must inspect the vehicle before departure and report any pre-existing damage. Failure to report damage at pickup may result in the customer being held responsible.

8.2 Return Condition

Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as provided, accounting for normal wear and tear. Excessive dirt, stains, or damage beyond normal use will incur cleaning or repair charges.

9. Rental Period and Extensions

9.1 Rental Duration

The rental period begins at the scheduled pickup time and ends at the scheduled return time. Late returns may incur additional charges calculated on an hourly or daily basis.

9.2 Extensions

Rental extensions are subject to vehicle availability and must be approved by veloriaai prior to the original return time. Unauthorized extensions may result in additional fees and potential legal action.

10. Termination

10.1 Company's Right to Terminate

veloriaai reserves the right to terminate this agreement and repossess the vehicle without prior notice if the customer violates any term of this agreement, uses the vehicle improperly, or provides false information.

10.2 Customer's Right to Terminate

Customers may terminate the rental early by returning the vehicle. Refunds for early returns are provided at veloriaai's discretion and subject to applicable cancellation fees.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, veloriaai's total liability for any claim arising from this agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the rental. veloriaai is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Indemnification

Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless veloriaai, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the customer's use of the vehicle, violation of these terms, or violation of any law or regulation.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Taipei, Taiwan.

13.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation. Customers should first contact our customer service team at [email protected] to seek resolution.

13.3 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with Taiwan arbitration rules. Each party bears its own costs unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

15. Modifications to Terms

veloriaai reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Significant changes will be communicated to customers with active rentals or reservations via email or phone.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with any specific rental agreement and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and veloriaai regarding use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
